How Custom Park Made This Ravens-Themed Playground Possible

Here at Custom Park Surfacing, we are delighted to announce our participation in the Ravens’ playground in Owings MIlls at the Northwest. With an overall budget of $1.5 million, the playground was made possible, in part, by a $500,000 contribution by the Baltimore Ravens as part of the NFL Play 60 Initiative.

Located in Northwest Regional Park, we worked with Baltimore County to ensure that the site was completed on time and under budget. The surface is poured in place rubber, extremely durable with a high fall attenuation rating to ensure children’s safety. We also worked closely with the Ravens to ensure that the colors were the exact match of their brand. They were a delight to work with, providing anything we needed, particularly when it came to branding.

The area’s first destination playground, it is ADA compliant, fully accessible by wheelchair. It includes a challenge course, custom climbing structures and a giant play system with slides.

In the next couple of weeks, we will be showing how the construction of the playground progressed, from site prep to final finish work.

And as always, if you have any questions regarding our surfaces and services, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
